6th Annual Class BreakfastJune 1, 2012
The 6th Annual Class of 1966 breakfast was held Saturday, June 1, 2012 at Carriage Corner in Mifflinburg with 19 classmates and 16 guests
attending for a total of 35 people.
Bob Beck served as the master of ceremony, remembered our two classmates who passed away since our last breakfast. Earl Jake Lamey and Florence Miller Fox were remembered. Bob also gave the invocation. We had our annual fund raiser which is a Chinese Auction. Janet Hackenberg reported we have around $1,000 in our treasury. This year we had a special auction with classmate Ken Boyer providing a prize of the winners choice of photos from his collection. All proceeds were given the class treasury. Bob reported that Bruce Boney is looking for ideas on how to improve our class website which has now been running for five years. Simply go to the class website and click on the webmasters link to give Bruce input on things you would like to see on the web site.
The class voted to increase the amount given in memory of a deceased classmate from $25 to $50. The class also voted to give an additional $25 to the family of Florence Miller Fox since it was discovered that Florences family had little money to cover her burial.
