5th Annual Class BreakfastJune 4, 2011
The 5th Annual Class of 1966 breakfast was held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Carriage Corner in Mifflinburg with 21 classmates and 15 guests
attending for a total of 36 people.
The invocation was provided by Bob Beck. For the first is breakfast history those present were happy to hear the report that we had no classmates to remember this year as no classmates passed away in the past year. Janet Hackenberg gave the Treasurer's Repot showing we now have nearing $1,000. We now have 61 email addresses for classmates (55% of the class). The goal was set to have at least 50% by the 45th class reunion). Email addresses are needed to keep future costs of mailing notification of events and provide a communication link for classmates.
A reminder was given that the 45th Class Reunion is coming up Saturday, August 13th at the Barnyard Restaurant (4 miles West of Mifflinburg - right after Christ's United Lutheran Church - 4 Bell's Church). It was also noted that the two classmates that we have lost tough with for many years have been found. Don Struble was found living in Texas and Barb (Cotner) Shearer actually attended the breakfast. We have again lost contact with Sandy (Reich) Green.
The class breakfast is a less formal get together which allows more time for talking with fellow classmates.
