1st Annual Class BreakfastJune 2, 2007

The 1st Annual Class of 1966 Breakfast was held on Saturday morning June 2, 2007 (our 41st Anniversary of Graduation Day) at Carriage Corner in Mifflinburg. We had 19 class members and 13 spouses and guests attend. We had three classmates from out of state, Mary (Munson) Wehr from NY, Scott Knauss from NY, and Jean (Walls) Oakes from SC. This event was the first time that Dennis Himes, Terry Machamer, and Jean (Walls) Oakes attended a class event. Cliff Valentine welcomed the class on behalf of and in memory of Dave Chapman. Dave had promised to do the welcome at the breakfast at the class reunion last summer before his untimely death in February 2007. Classmate, Rev. Frank Showers provided the invocation. Cliff also talked about the new class webpage created by classmate Bruce Boney and encouraged everyone to "check it out" and the provide information to Bruce or to get it to Cliff. Especially needed is old class photo's. Cliff also stressed the importance of class members providing their email addresses so we can save on future postage costs. Please send your email address to: miffclass1966@hotmail.com. Cliff also gave the Treasurer's Report for Janet (Moyer) Hackenberg who could not be present. The treasury has $802.52 after the proceeds from the Chinese Auction. The Auction yielded $100 with all proceeds going to the Website Fund. A breakdown of funds shows $637.52 in general funds and $165.00 in the website fund. Several class members contributed funds earlier this year to cover the cost of the website which covered the start up costs and the first year fee.
