Earl Jacob "Jake" Lamey

Earl Jacob "Jake" Lamey, 63, of 7175 Creek Road for the past five years, formerly a resident of Seneca, S.C., entered into rest at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at his home.

He was born Dec. 21, 1948, in Lewisburg, a son of Cora (Barnett) Boop, of Millmont, and the late Earl Libby Lamey. On Feb. 14, 1997, in Walhalla, S.C., he married Ciri L. Zeiser who preceded him on death Sept. 2, 2009.

Jake was a 1966 graduate of Mifflinburg High School and honorably served in the Air Force from 1967 to 1971.

Jake was employed as a chemist for Duke Energy in South Carolina from 1978 until he retired in 2004..

He was a member of the Jack's Mountain A.B.A.T.E. Chapter 35.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Marybeth Lamey, of Chapin, S.C., and Joshua and Kaylan Lamey, of Rock Hill, S.C.; one stepson, Jason Taylor, of Levittown; two stepdaughters, Shannon Taylor, of Shamokin, and Megan and her husband David Simpson, of Morrisville; three grandchildren, Katie, Patrick, and Samuel Lamey; four stepgrandchildren, Lexis, Ethan, and Saige Taylor, and Madilyn Jade Herb; one brother and sister-in-law, Daniel T. and Maureen Lamey, of Millmont; one sister-in-law, Tanya Evans, of Levittown.
