John F. Zimmerman

John F. "Felty" Zimmerman, 60, of 229 Spruce St., died Friday, July 27, 2007, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.

He was born Dec. 4, 1946, in New Berlin, a son of Irene (Moyer) Zimmerman of Mifflinburg and the late Hoyt Zimmerman.

In 1997, he married the former Mary E. Jones, who survives.

Mr. Zimmerman was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School and served with the Army during the Vietnam conflict.

He was employed at Wood-Mode Inc., Kreamer. At one time, he owned and operated a welding shop in Mount Pleasant Mills.

He attended Stonington Wesleyan Church.

Mr. Zimmerman was a member of West Fairview American Legion Post No. 984; a life member of the Freeburg Fire Company; a life member of Friendship Hose Company, Sunbury; and a member of Stonington Fire Company.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are one daughter, Amy Campbell of Shamokin Dam; one son, Nick Zimmerman of Mount Pleasant Mills; four stepchildren, Jasen Judy and his friend Jennifer Reichner, Joseph Judy III and his friend Beth Hoffman, and Matthew Judy, all of Sunbury, and Amanda Judy of Augustaville;

Also, eight grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna and Garrett Campbell of Shamokin Dam, Christian and Ethan Urbanowicz of Mount Carmel, Sara Osman of Augustaville, and Austin Heffner and Aubreonnah Judy of Sunbury; two sisters, Nancy Watson of Danville and Linda Smith and her husband, Stoy, of Middleburg; and three brothers, Richard Zimmerman and his wife, Sue, of Millmont, and Robert Zimmerman and Keith Zimmerman, both of Mifflinburg.
