Barbara Jean (Morrison) Dietrich

Barbara Jean (Morrison) Dietrich, 60, of 1272 Buffalo Creek Road, entered into rest at 8:04 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009, at her residence. She was born Oct. 2, 1948, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Robert Eugene Sr. and Elizabeth Ilean (Hart) Morrison. On Sept. 24, 1976, she was united in marriage to Roy Earl Dietrich, who survives.

Barbara graduated from Mifflinburg Area High School, Class of 1966.

She was employed as a resident aide at the former Laurelton Center until its closing, when she transferred to the Harrisburg State Hospital and worked as a mental health aide until her retirement in 2000.

Barbara was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of Buffalo Valley Riding Club.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, square dancing, and spending time camping.

She is survived by two sons, Jason M. Grove of Lewisburg and Robert E. Dietrich of Mifflinburg; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary A. and Mark Bingaman of Millmont, Theresa L. and Ken Monad of Woodsboro, Texas, and Eugina M. Stevens of Sunbury; nine grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Bernard E. and Marlene Morrison of Montgomery; and one sister-in-law, Jane Morrison of Watsontown.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; Robert E. Jr., Ned, John R., and Leroy E. Morrison.
